The
Laterificio Pugliese,
lead by the Scianatico family since 1932, is today one
of the major European groups specialized in the production
of bricks and high-performance building materials.
Their cunning sensitivity orientated towards research
and development lead the company to enter the Consorzio
Poroton Italia in 1976, of which it became the biggest
Italian producer in a short while and, in 1996, to start
the Megaton production, a revolutionary thin-baffle brick.
An unprecedented innovation available on the market today
in the versions Megaton I (with fixings) and Magaton I/R
(ground bricks): the perfect combination of high performance
and laying easiness.
The production by the Laterificio
Pugliese is carried out in two ultra-modern
plants giving a total output of 500,000 brick tons per
year: one plant is in Terlizzi, province of Bari,
where there is also the Group's Head Office,
the other one in Genzano di Lucania (PZ), next
to the company's clay quarry that, starting from the raw
material, ensures the Company the steady control of the
quality standards. In order to offer more and more comprehensive
and integrated solutions, the Laterificio
Pugliese has taken over in time the shareholdings
of relevant firms in Italy and abroad, in several fields
connected to the building one.
A highly computerized distribution network manages the
orders all over the Italian territory. For the technical
advice both before- and after-sale, the Laterificio
Pugliese puts its own engineering department
- run by an experts' team among the most established at
national level - at its Costumers' disposal.Such a complex
and effective company organization has allowed the Company
to obtain the Company Quality System Certification according
to the rule ISO 9002. It is the international recognition
to a reality naturally inclined to steady innovation,
that has always believed and invested on quality. A success
crowned by a further important achievement: the environmental
certification according to the rule ISO 14001.
